holds it all together
Hotel Tower Structure (Levels 1-28)
The first half of the Three Sixty West Hotel Tower up to level 28 is dedicated to hotel use, utilizing a standard Al Abbar Group unitised façade system. This façade features external fin elements designed to withstand high wind loads and extreme weather conditions, particularly during the monsoon season in Mumbai.
Residential Tower (Levels 29 & Above)
Above level 28, the Residential Tower uses a unitised façade system, incorporating balconies into the design. These balconies feature a slider frame system with no vertical posts for support, requiring special embedment techniques to ensure three-sided support for the glazing.
Balcony Unit Installation
Lifting and installation of the balcony units presented significant challenges, particularly for the large corner balconies, which measured W=6.2m x H=3.8m. These units incorporated built-in balustrade glazing and slider frame features, demanding precise handling and secure installation techniques.
Podium Glazing
The podium area of the tower is finished with bespoke semi-unitised stick modules arranged in a complex zigzag pattern. These modules were glazed from both the outside and from the ground using mobile cranes and cradles to ensure safe and efficient installation of the intricate design.
