A groundbreaking architecture project setting new global standards
Scope of work: Encompasses the comprehensive design, supply, and installation of an advanced façade system and structural components, including approximately 61,823 m² of high-performance unitized curtain wall; 6,130 m² of stick curtain wall systems featuring balcony doors and fire-rated doors and windows; 2,364 m² of precision-engineered curtain wall panel aluminium extrusions; and 2,177 linear meters of sleek glazed balustrades. The project further involves the integration of 131,212 linear meters of vertical and horizontal aluminium feature frames (fin extrusions), 670 linear meters of aluminium copings, and 6,641 m² of architecturally significant aluminium cladding. Additional elements include 362 m² of aluminium louvers, 362 m² of skylights, 704 m² of aluminium trellis, and 1,056 m² of skylight louvers and metal ceilings. Structural steel works totaling approximately 753.6 metric tons are specified for the tower crown, porte cochere, and car parking building, complemented by 2,805 m² of roofing works. The scope also incorporates two units of Building Maintenance Units (BMU) and fall arrest systems for the car parking and porte cochere areas, ensuring safe and efficient façade maintenance.
City Tower 1 stands as an iconic 83-storey mixed-use development on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, designed by the renowned Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. With a sleek glass façade and a grand Porte Cochere, the tower connects seamlessly to a multi-level car park with approximately 1,253 spaces. Its prime location in Dubai’s business corridor ensures high visibility and accessibility.
